Jinjiagou Tunnel on the Yan’an-Yulin High Speed Railway in Shaanxi Breaks Through

　　

        On January 27, the Jinjiagou Tunnel on the Yan’an-Yulin High Speed Railway in Shaanxi province was successfully completed, marking the first tunnel breakthrough on the Yan’an section of the railway. The railway is an important component of the national “Eight North-South and Eight East-West” Corridors railway network. Upon completion and opening to traffic, the travel time from Xi’an to Yulin will be reduced from five hours to two hours, contributing to the realization of “high-speed railway connectivity for every city” in Shaanxi province. It is of great significance for improving transportation in northern Shaanxi, advancing large-scale development of the western region, and promoting development in old revolutionary base areas.
