On January 23, Cheng Gele, a signal technician at the Za'gya Zangbo signaling section, was rectifying lead wires in a track circuit box. The area is known for year-round biting winds and extreme cold, with winter temperatures often dropping below minus 30 degrees Celsius.
Since its establishment in 2018, the section has been responsible for the daily maintenance and fault handling of signaling equipment at three high-altitude stations—Tanggulanan Railway Station, Za'gya Zangbo Railway Station and Xuechama Railway Station. Ten young employees have taken root and remained committed at this site, facing extremely harsh natural conditions with an optimistic spirit and dedication to their posts. They are reinforcing safety defenses ahead of the upcoming Spring Festival travel rush and safeguarding smooth railway operations.
