Freight Volume at Alataw Pass Reaches 68.874 Million Tons
During the 14th Five-Year Plan Period
On January 22, Alataw Pass was bustling with activity, as CRE trains ran back and forth at full speed, intelligent checkpoints conducted automated clearance, inspection equipment performed precise scanning, and customs officers carried out efficient coordinated inspections.
According to statistics, during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, freight volume handled by Alataw Pass reached 68.874 million tons. The number of CRE (Central Asia) Train routes passing through the port increased to 128, covering 21 countries across Asia and Europe, while the range of cargo expanded to more than 200 categories. By the end of 2025, the cumulative number of trains passing through the port exceeded 50,000. In 2025 alone, 8,165 trains were supervised and handled, setting a new historical record.
