Recently, a CRE train loaded with 62 forty-foot containers departed from Solombalka Railway Station in Russia to Weizizhen Railway Station in Shanxi province, China, and successfully entered the country via the Erenhot railway port. The successful operation of this train marks an increase in the number of operating routes on the Central Corridor of CRE trains to 75, injecting strong momentum into China’s northward opening-up. At present, CRE trains passing through this railway port connect with more than 70 hub stations in over 10 countries, including Germany and Poland, while domestically covering most originating cities of CRE services. The range of goods carried has expanded from initial IT products such as mobile phones and computers to more than 10,000 categories, including complete vehicles and auto parts, electromechanical and machinery equipment, furniture and building materials.
To further enhance operating efficiency and service quality, the Erenhot railway port continues to advance the “daily communication and monthly meetings” coordination mechanism with Zamiin-Uud Railway Station in Mongolia. At the same time, it works in coordination with customs, border inspection and other authorities, significantly shortening overall clearance time for trains and injecting strong impetus into the smooth operation of the international logistics corridor.
