Li Ping, Deputy Chief Engineer, a PHD and researcher of the Institute of Computing Technology of China Academy of Railway Sciences Co,. Ltd., is mainly engaged in prospective study, development and major projects in railway intelligent transport, railway big-data application, railway information planning and sharing, traffic safety and emergency response, etc. Her achievements include the scientific and technological innovation in the comprehensive application of railway with new information technologies such as big data, intelligence, Internet of things, mobile Internet, cloud computing. She has presided over the overall system design, product R&D and key technology research, etc., and achieved many major breakthroughs with relevant achievements reaching the leading level at home and abroad. She has led the completion of the system framework of railway intelligent transport, jointly finished the overall planning of railway IT application and the implementation plan of railway big data application. The railway emergency platform, railway main data platform and railway data service platform that she has presided over and developed all have passed the technical evaluation of the CHINA RAILWAY (CR) and authoritative evaluation of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and been applied in many CR branch companies and urban subways. She has made important contributions to ensuring railway transport safety through IT application, promoting uniform railway basic data and boosting the application of railway big data. She has led or participated in more than 60 scientific research projects at the national, provincial, ministerial and bureau levels. She has won 1 first-class prize and 7 second-class prizes of provincial and ministerial science and technology award, 2 first-class prizes and 3 second-class prizes of bureau-level science and technology award, over 10 patents for invention and published over 150 academic papers.
