Wang Jijun, PhD, now acts as the researcher and joint secretary of CARS Railway Engineering Research Institute, is mainly engaged in research on railway track engineering innovations especially the ballastless track technology of high-speed and heavy-load railways. He led the research, design and testing of HSR and CRTS III ballastless track with independent intellectual property rights, and guided the design, manufacturing and building of ballastless tracks of this type across China. He led or participated in over 20 national, provincial or CR regional group level research projects. He has won 3 top prizes, 4 first prizes. 3 second prizes and 2 third prizes of ministerial and provincial science and technology awards, been awarded a dozen of invention patents and published over 20 academic papers.
